FELIPE MASSA reckons he could make a stunning return to F1 at the final race in Abu Dhabi next month.



The Brazilian has ruled out a comeback at his home city in Sao Paulo on Sunday week.

But he could be back in his Ferrari for the debut race at the Yas Marina circuit - just 14 weeks after fracturing his skull in a horror smash in Hungary.

Massa, 28, will test a two-year-old Ferrari in the next couple of weeks.

He said: "Brazil would be too close to the limit but we'll see for Abu Dhabi. We'll need FIA authorisation and it depends on the test with the F2007 car.

"I perfectly remember how to drive. My worry isn't to immediately get a good lap time, but just to run again. In any case, you need a good car and a good set-up."

Massa needed life-saving surgery after he was struck on the helmet by a 2lb spring that flew off countryman Rubens Barrichello's Brawn GP car during qualifying in Budapest.
